Last week we posted about an upcoming Social Media Club event hosted here at Ogilvy. As it turns out, A LOT of people are interested in exploring the intersection of government and social media. Between the Facebook event page and email registrations, we have over 150 people coming to the event tonight.
It makes sense that so many people are eager to talk about this. Nearly everyone working in Washington D.C. is in someway connected to the government: hill staffers, think tanks, trade associations, political campaigns, the feds themselves – these people are our coworkers, our clients, our friends. So it’s not surprising that a large number of us are eager to discuss what the government is doing with respect to social media.
As my colleague Brian mentioned last week, we’ve got a great panel and look forward to the discussion. Stay tuned as we’ll be live blogging and posting video interviews after the event. I’m sure we’ll see many of you later this evening.

Unfortunately I missed last night’s exciting event. When you you plan to post the video interviews? I’m eager to watch them since I missed this big event!

Hi Tina,
Sorry to hear you couldn’t make it. We will definitely post the video as soon as we edit it down.
In the meantime, check out the #smcdc hashtag and flickr stream for a replay last night’s event.
