Facebook Connect and Google Friend Connect will change the way we interact with websites and each other online. Check out this video explaining Google Friend Connect

It was just announced that Facebook has joined the board of the OpenID foundation.
This is great news for anyone who supports the idea of a single ‘online identity’. OpenID already has support from Yahoo!, Google, and Microsoft. Having Facebook as a board member can only improve the service. OpenID has struggled with their user experience and this is an area where a partnership with Facebook could really help.
It will be exciting to see where things go from here. It could be possible in the future that your identity on Facebook could be your identity for the entire internet, an idea that is both full of promise and incredibly scary.
Thoughts?
