Ray Rahmati is an Account Director and Senior Digital Strategist with the 360° Digital Influence Group at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide where he has worked to develop and implement interactive digital strategies and word of mouth programs for B2B and B2C brands, helping his clients connect with targeted audiences while increasing the visibility and amplifying the impact of their solutions and services through social media. Clients have included American Express, International Hotels Group, DuPont, Ford Motor Company, IBM, Time Warner Cable and Siemens.

Ray previously served as an Account Director within the Corporate and Technology Groups at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, providing strategic counsel, media and analyst relations support, digital media program development and execution, media analysis, positioning and overall account management for numerous technology, corporate and consumer clients including Abound Solar, Satyam Computer Services, CSC, LexisNexis, Deltek, TANDBERG, and DuPont. Ray has been vital to the success of numerous programs for CSC by increasing executive visibility, enhancing brand awareness through media relations, and by analyzing the corporate brand and positioning. For LexisNexis, Ray has helped position the company’s Risk & Information Analytics Group as a leading provider of information and business solutions by leveraging vehicles such as media and analyst relations, and thought leadership within the Financial Services, Collections, Technology and Government verticals. Through analyst relations, media relations, new media engagement, speaking opportunities and messaging, Ray has helped to build on TANDBERG’s corporate reputation and marketing efforts in the U.S. With DuPont, Ray has worked with numerous business units including Safety & Protection, Performance Materials and Photovoltaic Solutions on positioning key executives and spokespersons as thought leaders. He has also helped navigate this traditionally conservative, global company through their first foray into social media.

Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Ray was an Assistant Account Manager at Levick Strategic Communications, a full service PR Firm in Washington, D.C. At Levick, Ray focused on media relations, strategy, litigation support and crisis communications support for law firms, law schools and Fortune 500 companies. His clients included the nation’s largest organization of civil defense attorneys, several Tier One law schools, one of the top Energy law firms in the Midwest, a Fortune 500 general aviation airplane manufacturer.

Ray is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park where he received his BA degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Business Communication.
